I took this opportunity after finishing college to get straight into gaining valuable experience in the gaming and media industries.
I saw this as my foot in the door to gaining both an insight into the industry and gaining valuable on the job experience and training.
I thoroughly enjoyed this job, despite the fact that I was not being paid for while training I knew I needed this and i stayed interested and strived to better myself constantly.
My duties included creation of 2D and 3D content for media presentation aswell as website design for a few clients.
C&S Associates Funtley, Hampshire – 2003 - Clerical Assistant
This was a Summer job I took after school finished and before college started that was 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. weekdays.
My duties were mainly filing all the new notes / letters / claims files that were sent through the post every day. I would have to open the mail in the morning upon delivery, sort it out into different piles, find the correct person’s folder adding it to that folder then taking it out to be typed up on the computer for their records, and then taken over to dictation where they would record the file in audio format.
This job, although repetitive, was motivating enough, I worked there 4 weeks straight before college started. I find at most places the people are easy to get on with and friendly and I can work well in groups.
Interbrew UK Ltd. Segensworth, Hampshire - 2002 - Administrative Assistant
In this position I had to perform many diverse tasks, this included filing, computer related work such as order processing / creating / modifying, phone work contacting clients about their deliveries and worked in a team at some points in the managerial section helping with the day-to-day running of the office and its staff.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience of meeting new people, being given responsibilities and learning to adapt to situations as they arose.
